Listen, I know family pictures can be a less than pleasant experience to arrange. Everyone needs clothes that aren’t freshly stained, hair that is brushed and tamed, and smiles plastered on their faces. The one part that is always a pleasure is getting to work with Melik.
He is an incredible photographer and even more incredible human being. Every year he manages to catch magical moments in between the scowls, complaining, and bickering. This year he captured so many amazing images that I’m left struggling to decide which ones to print and where to put them in the house.

A Stately Endorsement
I had the privilege of working with Melik on producing a training video for the State of Michigan. Leading this kind of project was a first for me. I had a ton of questions, was struggling to envision what the end product would look like, and was facing crucial/tight deadlines. From the time we signed the contract Melik I felt we were in perfect hands to accomplish the task. Through several conversations, Melik worked to educate himself on the topic he’d be capturing. He communicated his plan for the video shoot, expectations, and outcome goals.
On the day of the shoot, Melik was extremely prepared with multiple cameras, lenses, lighting, and crew. He was adaptable and patient with our staff and worked with them to help them feel as comfortable as possible on camera.
It was a pleasure and honor working with Melik. Between Melik’s talent for capturing b-roll/video/editing/creativeness and clear communication, flexibility, dedication, and drive, we were able to meet our deadline and have a creative product achieving our goal.
