Don’t Rush Time

It’s something I see every day in my kids, that eagerness to grow up, to get to the “next.” My son Ciarán spent six months excited to turn five. Now he talks about getting a job to help pay bills, even buying me a Lamborghini one day. At five years old. It’s adorable, it’s hopeful, and it reminds me of something I say often:
Don’t rush time.
Be a kid as long as you can. Laugh loud. Play hard. Count your blessings. Because these moments, the small, everyday ones, they matter.
As someone with more years behind me than ahead, I’m learning to slow down too. To enjoy now. To take nothing for granted. Life moves fast on its own, we don’t need to push it.
Wherever you are in life, give yourself permission to live fully in the moment. Don’t deny yourself joy. Allow yourself peace. Be here. Be present.
Time will keep moving. But today — today is worth everything.
